Padlets and Traffic

Today I wanted to look at Padlets and what use they could have in 21st-century education. I found the concept to be interesting and great to organize a lot of assignments on one page as a teacher, but I don't think I will use them as a tool to teach things. I just think there are a lot of tools out there that are more interesting and more attractive. Traffic was the discussed topic on our Padlet. Traffic is often classified by type: heavy motor vehicle (e.g., car, truck), another vehicle (e.g., moped, bicycle), and pedestrian. Different classes may share speed limits and easement or may be segregated. Some jurisdictions may have very detailed and complex rules of the road while others rely more on drivers' common sense and willingness to cooperate.

 Personally, my interest spikes if the information I'm about to consume is presented with good visuals. But I think the biggest challenge when producing content is whether YOU like it or not. I think many teachers would attempt these sorts of things, but give up because of the quality of their content. I'm posting what I've helped create but I feel like it would take a lot of projects for me to be comfortable with showing my work to my students. And these are good practices. It's not that a non-perfect project wouldn't work, but it would be about motivation. If things keep looking nice and fancy then teachers would keep doing it. But teachers and teacher candidates should be aware of what their first few projects would look like. Not judging ourselves hard can come in handy in this context.
